IOSH training ensures that managers know the basics of health and safety law and the level of responsibility they have in relation to the law. It helps to ensure that managers take that responsibility seriously and understand the consequences to themselves, their companies and colleagues of their not fulfilling those health and safety responsibilities.

IOSH training is available direct from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health itself, but course dates are very limited. However, a large number of training organisations are approved by the IOSH to run courses on their behalf.
